The Council are now consulting residents on the proposed South Bristol Youth Zone via http://www.bristol.gov.uk/youthzoneconsultation up until 2nd January 2022. This is a NEW survey, which follows on from the far broader survey they carried out earlier in the Autumn. This survey is to gather residents’ feedback and is intended to be included in the Full Business Case that the Council’s Cabinet is due to consider in Spring 2022. This consultation closes on Sunday 2 January 2022
Separately, OnSide (the Youth Zone developer) are carrying out their own consultation to gain views on the specific designs for the proposed Youth Zone as part of a planning application. This consists of a face-to-face exhibition where you can ask questions:
• Monday, 6 December 2021 from 3pm to 8pm at The Inns Court Community & Family Centre, 1 Marshall Walk, Bristol BS4 1TR.
• Tuesday, 7 December 2021 from 10am to 5pm at The Park Centre, Daventry Rd, Bristol BS4 1DQ.
They will also be holding an online consultation via the OnSide Youth Zones website: www.onsideyouthzones.org/south-bristol-planning-consultation with specific details about the design proposals. The proposals will be published from 6 December to 12 December to allow local residents and businesses to view and comment on the proposals.) This consultation closes on Monday 12th December.
Whilst it is not ideal to have to feed in twice, it is important that everyone knows they can and should input into BOTH of these routes – the Council survey will inform the cabinet decision making around funding for the initiative and the OnSide consultation will tell the developer what you think about their designs and allow them to address and respond to what local residents think BEFORE they go to planning ie it presents a possibility to influence their plans before they are concrete.
