Ruth – Knowle West Alliance Director
Ruth joined KWA in April 2026, stepping into the Director role, managing the team and over-seeing the work of Knowle West Alliance.
Ruth enjoys growing food, swimming (indoors and out), and has been learning to DJ.

Gemma – Communications Facilitator
Gemma joined the KWA team in December 2022. She is currently working on communications, local planning and development and The Knowledge.
Gemma loves the green spaces, wild birds and friendly people in Knowle West.

Alex – Community Connector – Filwood Broadway
Alex joined the KWA team in June 2026. Her role is to strengthen community networks and support the Filwood Broadway Action Team in delivering objectives for Filwood Broadway.
Alex loves nature and being outside. She is crafty, and enjoys anything involving a glue gun or modeling clay.

KWA team structure/governance
The Knowle West Alliance is a network of residents and organisations working together for Knowle West. The small part time enabling/facilitation KWA team is employed by “host” organisation Knowle West Media Centre. KWMC provides an administrative home to KWA and holds the formal HR role for the Alliance. Knowle West Alliance staff are supported and governed by KWMC policy and procedures.
The KWA Director is line managed by The Park Centre and supported by the Founders group representing: Knowle West Media Centre, Filwood Community Centre, The Park Community Centre and Knowle West Health Park.
