Small grants up to £250
Do you have an idea that can make a difference to our area? Our Small Grants are available to local individuals, groups, organisations, schools and businesses who want to make Knowle West:
- A safer, friendlier place
- A greener, cleaner place
- A healthier, active place
- A creative place
Knowle West Alliance offers Small Grants for projects that benefit the local community. Our Grants Panel (made up of local residents and workers) decide which projects are funded.
We will offer eight grants of up to £250 each quarter. Our panel will meet in February, May, September and November with the closing date one week before.
Community Arts grant with RCKa Architects
Many thanks to RCKa Architects, and Bristol City Council, for supporting a new, one-off community arts grant.
There are four grants of up to £1000 each for arts projects in Knowle West that have some form of community engagement.
You can apply using the same form as small grants – click the ‘Community Arts Grant’ option when asked.
For the Arts grant, we can only accept applications from an organisation or group. If you’re a local artist with a great idea, we encourage you to approach another local organisation to apply jointly.
*** Please do not start work on your project until your grant application has been agreed. We cannot fund work already done ***
If your group is up and running – can you apply?
If a group is already running and want to apply for future activity, that’s fine. For example, a playgroup that has been running for 5 years want to apply for £250 to cover their hall hire in January and February, and apply in the Autumn round closing the end of November.
If the same group wanted to apply for their hall hire in November and December and apply in the round closing the end of November, that would not be fine as that is funding past hall hire. All activity must be in the future.
HOW TO APPLY:
You can find the application form here
You can fill the form in online from a phone, tablet or computer. Please do not print off the form as we won’t accept paper copies. If you need support, please pop into KWMC and speak to Gail.
You must have a bank account for your organisation with at least two signatories. We cannot pay money into private accounts. If your community group doesn’t have this, please speak to a larger local organisation to partner with or contact us for help being matched with a partner.
Please read our grants information sheet below before applying.
If you want to talk through your project idea before applying or need help with the application form, email grants@kwalliance.co.uk
