New High Street Grants of up to £1000

*High Street Grants – second round! New deadline 30th April 2025*

As part of their social value investment for the regeneration work on Filwood Broadway, RCKa Architects, (who are redeveloping 4-16 Filwood Broadway, the same side as the Old Cinema site) working with Bristol City Council have donated money to the Knowle West Alliance Small Grants Programme.  We are offering these grants, which are up to £1000 for businesses, organisations or constituted groups, or up to £250 for individuals or more informal groups. The grants are for any project that aims to increase community activity or footfall on any of the ‘high streets’ within the Knowle West Regeneration Framework area (see below map).

Not just about Filwood Broadway

This means it’s not just about Filwood Broadway; you could apply for this money to do something anywhere where there are shops and businesses open to the public within the area, like on Newquay Road, Melvin Square, Jarmans or Marshall Walk at Inns Court.  We want to promote activity that’s already happening and businesses that are already part of our community, and give others the opportunity to try something new.

Also, unlike our usual grants, we are happy to directly support business activity if it meets the aims of the funding.

If you want to apply, get in touch with via the email address below for more information and an application form or email us for more info and we can help.  Your application will need to be in by 28th March 30th April 2025 and your project will need to have happened by the beginning of December this year.  The process is designed to be really easy and flexible, and KWA is always on hand to offer support where needed.

If you’ve got an idea for an activity or to bring more people to the high streets of Knowle West. Download the information and application form below. If you want to know more, please email: info@kwalliance.co.uk
