This summer members of the Knowle West Food Network* are out and about being a bit nosey about what people think about food in the area. They are starting conversations to find out what it means to eat well and thrive in Knowle West. We know some people are already thriving, they love cooking and have everything they need, and also for some people, access to good food can be challenging. We believe in good food for all, and that by working together we can make a difference.
Here’s some of the conversations starters – and really we want to know as many people’s opinion as possible:
What does it mean to eat well to thrive in KW?
- Thinking about what are the issues and what are the great tips people have.
- If life was perfect what would eating well look like?
- What are the gaps or barriers for people to eat well in KW?
- What is your favourite item to cook for friends or family if there were no barriers?
- What would you like things to look like in the future?
If YOU have something to say about food in Knowle West – please tell us what you think via this link: Food Form
And
Why not come along to our next session? We’re meeting up on Wednesday 9th October, in the morning, to spend time together thinking about what we already know, what we don’t know, what skills, knowledge and expertise we have in our community, any gaps, and where we want to put energy to make changes we want to see. Everyone is welcome – residents, groups, organisations. To find out more sign up here: Sign up form
